At UU the software is used for (1) new data entry; (2) browsing and printing borehole data (install a PDF printer), (3) selecting and plotting borehole data in cross-sections, (4) overlaying data on offline GIS imagery. The software reads and writes borehole data in XML format. On login the software seeks an active group XML file in MyDocuments\LLG2012. The user may wish to download XML data from other areas on this website. The user may also want to download the PDF summarizing the coding system of the database. That information is also contained in the Help pages accessible from within the LLG2012 software. The software was programmed by K.P. Volleberg in 2012. Version 2.0.25 is shared here. Back in the days it worked in Windows 2000, XP, Windows 7. Nowadays it works in Windows 10. The ZIP file includes an installer note and some troubleshooting information, in case it does not fully work on first install. On Windows11 it requires to run this patch, https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26368 , the _x86 variant. On Win7-Win10 depending on circumstances, it may require to reinstall some legacy Microsoft 2008 Visual C++; enable HPI DPI scaling override; ]. |
